CPAEmpire.com Buys Affiliate.com - Plans Name Change
This news is a bit old, but I have not seen it mentioned in the domain community. I stumbled across the news on Jay Weintraub’s blog. Scott Richter’s company CPAEmpire.com purchased the domain name Affiliate.com and plans to transition and re-brand to the shorter domain name. The company made the announcement at their Breakaway Conference event on August 15th.
The company newsletter confirms that there will be more to come with the re-branding to Affiliate.com.
“Of course, the topic on everyone’s minds was the announcement that CPA Empire® will be evolving into Affiliate.com later this year. You will hear more about this exciting change in the months ahead, along with our official announcement at ad:tech NY in November.”
Affiliate.com has been for sale at several live domain auctions in the past and to our knowledge never sold at a live auction event.

Ah yes, congratulations to Scott Richter! What a great purchase!
I hope with the budget that they have, they can provide a better looking and easier to use affiliate site, and also - possibly more affiliate offers such as credit cards, financing, travel deals, etc. I want to see the big advertisers!

Since most of us mispell affiliate half the time - affilate.com might be a good one to have as well.

Thanks for the comments on the purchase. We are going to be putting a lot of time & resources into creating the best interface possible for the new Affiliate.com, including a proprietary tracking system. If you are a current affiliate, you will be able to submit feedback and ideas for the new interface in an upcoming email poll.
