K Ham could eaily be the subject of a class action for any revenues derived from US / CA / EU traffic as the extension is designed for non English speaking residents based in Cameroon.

Holding these domains to specifically gain financial benefit from other rights holders efforts is clearly against many laws/regulations.

Sunrise periods on “registered trademarks” is bogus.

Business owners and any trader using an unregistered mark still has rights.

If you think by owning a .cm versus a .com version will somehow relieve you from getting nailed by IP attorneys you are plain misguided.

I am surprised that K Ham hasn’t been sent a rocket by a corporate already.

jblack – Right now you can only register a second level domain – but they’re opening up Top Level Registrations soon, which is the news that is stated in the article.

The article here states one will be able to register a .cm name. But the link to the .cm website shows subdomain registrations only (such as com.cm). Which is correct?

The registrar with the cheapest offer is around Euro 70 for the open registration period. Other might charge a bit more. Simply check out our website and ask the registrars.
