Aftermarket.com Announces Domainer Mardi Gras Auction List

by Chad Kettner in Categories: Domain Auction

Aftermarket.com has delayed releasing the auction list for their upcoming Domainer Mardi Gras auction that was to start bidding Monday. The company issued a statement on their Twitter page that said that getting approval from all sellers for their new 0% financing option was the cause of the delays. The auction list appears to have been pushed out to Aftermarket.com registered users late Monday night.

An interesting list of names – aftermarket.com has been trying to innovate but concentrating on a nice mix of domains and reasonable reserves. Not an easy task.

great selection. VirtualServer.com is a steal – big market for that. Have to show that to previous employers. Good one people! FinancialBailout.com is another gem putting that on my radar.

Favorites.com is nice, but $500,000? Way too steep.

Pretty lame to bash peoples names, Larry. Would you want people doing that about your domains for sale ? Why is it people can’t keep their mouths shut and just let an auction happen. Worse names have sold for more.

If that was my name I’d expect a high price too. Timing might not be right but you never know. I know that owner doesn’t sell anything for cheap . . this is probably a huge price drop for him.

Looks like some real values to be had at this auction.
I like rentalvillas.com a lot.

Wish I was going to the show. NO is one of my favorite cities – I had my bachelor party there.

PS: stop by Brennan’s for their famous Banana’s Foster and have a coffee with chicory at Cafe Du Monde!

Got to agree with Larry. $500,000 is crazy. I would be shocked if it went for 1/10th of that.

“Favorite of Mine”: We have every right to comment on things in the market considering that we all participate in it. It is not “lame”.

Troy you and Larry are tied for the douchebag of the day award then. You’ll have to try harder.

Favorites.com isn’t mine but bashing a domain is just unprofessional imho. Sure you can weigh in and comment but that name could be yours and you wouldn’t want people ripping on it when you were trying to sell it. Show some courtesy.

“Douchebag of the day”… OK then. Still think $500,000 is crazy. That must make me a real jerk.

Would it help if I wrote that I think that storagefacility.com at $3500 is a good deal or am I not allowed to comment on that to? Seems a little slanted to say that domainers can spend all day saying that something is a great deal and force them to stay quiet when they think their is not a prayer in heaven that a domain will sell at a requested price.

I think StorageFacility.com is a better domain then Favorites.com. Does that make me any other female hygiene product?

Nice list boys – I personally like ItalianHoliday.com and CustomSites.com :-) Disappointed I won’t be at this show :-( But I’ll be hovering around online during the auction. Best of luck and have a blast!!!

Appreciate the update and of course the full domain list a bit ahead of the full list being posted to the auction site. There are certainly some good deals to be had here. There are also a few names that I think are overpriced, one has been mentioned… but without seeing the full submission list, think overall they did a good job. I can’t begin to imagine how many thousands of names must have been submitted. I felt the same way at the last auction and lets face it, most sold pretty well, despite the technical issues.

guys, what do you think about my voodoo.com? I will bid on a few names online!

Mike

Freddy, you know I LOVE that domain. I think of it as the ultimate brandable – an energy drink, a club, a perfume, a game or movie. But it is also the best name in a very large subject – without the possibility of dilution via the plural – voodoos anyone?

Only issue is with the price – more end-user than domainer but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great deal. I think it is, the kind of name you just simply can’t go wrong with on a long term.

Good luck with it, point out any value we might not be seeing to help us along.

And of course, your bids are highly appreciated :) Cheers, JMHO
