Targeted T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Moniker Opening Night Auction sells 46 domains for $96,750

by Frank Michlick in Categories: Domain Auction

Once more we were will be live blogging the auction results of the auctions at the Targeted T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conference in New York. Tonight the Moniker/Snapnames Opening Night auction takes place, featuring selected domains from Rick Schwartz‘s domain portfolio.

The auction yielded a total of $96,750 in sales with 46 domains out of 66 listed domains sold. 3 domains were removed before the start of the auction. Please note that these are not the official results, we do not warrant the accuracy of this data.

We have heard several reports of users trying to access the auction for bidding online and experienced some problems accessing the auction ourselves. It appears that online bidders were only able to access the online system again as the auctioneer had already passed lot 100.

See the full live auction results after the jump.

Thanks for sharing with us common folk. :)

Only one sale over $10k…..hopefully not a precursor of what’s to come later this week. (sure, sure, it’s a function of the types of names, etc, etc, etc)

[…] Credit (and a big thank you) for the list: DNN.com […]

electricscooters.us $1,180 SOLD $1,100

any story behind it selling under reserve?

Kevin, sometimes the auction house will take a cut off their commission, sometimes the seller is present and agrees to a lower price. This is not the first time I’ve seen this happen, but usually it’s harder to tell when the reserve amount is a range rather than a number.

It is a disappointing start to auctions. The buyers are the clear winners. That’s an average of $2,103 per domain. With that being said though, the domains are of particularly poor quality for an auction being held at such an event.

I WON HedgeFundMarket.com — for $700.00

I already owned the .NET ….and bought the .Org and .US versions 3 hours before start of NY Auction ago.

It was a very good deal for me as it relates to my main business and I have been building a verticle potfolio in this sector for some time !

A lady bought KinkySex.net for $6,000 ! … I wonder if many guys are trying to get her phone number now ?

Good buy…

and about the KinkySex.net comment — LOL

was she a reg. auction attendee ??
had you seen her there before ??

I too was amazed at the low prices this go round…
but there were some GOOD names in the batch…

Best of Luck to all…

Patricia,

I bid Online….did not make it to this TRAFFIC show.

They only showed the back of her head with camera (in the online view)…so I don’t know who the winner is yet …it seems like she has blond hair.

Maybe there is some hope now for my INSTABABE.com — I won it in the opening lowreserve-no reserve Carity auction at DomainFest Hollywood in January ….. The $100 price was the lowest price sale in all (2 days) the auctions at that show … really ! LOL

Most of the domains in this lot are trash and the winning prices reflect accordingly. When quality domains start selling for less, let me know.

I would not have bid on a single one of these domains listed above. I have no idea why the guys at TRAFFIC or the auction houses tarnish their image trying to peddle this garbage.
