Hey Micheal,

Why don't you develop Cellphones.com? In the works, perhaps?

To Address Mr. Sivertsen, NO, Prices.com is NOT just another parking page with product links and pictures. Over 10 weeks of development and design resources were spent to produce and host this consumer experience.
Furthermore, we have a long-term strategy which entails additional consumer participation, exclusive management and third-party API integration for our upcoming affiliate program and that's just to name a few.
eBay, escripps, nexttag don't just give away partnerships as easily as you might think. A lot of consideration was given to our company based on our long term strategies.

No offense to this effort, but is repurposing a shopping.com feed really "developing a prime generic domain"?

Shouldn't we have higher expectations for "development"? Isn't this simply a parked site that is powered by shopping.com ads (with images) instead of a parking page powerd by text ads from Google or Yahoo?

Personally I'd rather patronize a site like gotapex.com which at least has editors who seek out the best time sensitive deals and get paid via affilate links. At least they expend energy to let me know that Dell is running a sale on laptops and the deal expires on Thursday and here are the coupon codes you need etc. (I have no affilation with gotapex.com just using it as a convenient example)

BPHG Media owns a nice portfolio of generic domains. I've always liked their approach of developing their key domain names into full-fledged online businesses. I'm sure we will see more media companies such as BPHG, Reinvent or Recall Media Group soon, as domain parking cannot be considered as a long-term monetization strategy anymore and owners of large portfolios are forced to develop their properties for sustained yields.
