First Brannans Domain Auction by Clements brothers yields $34,000

As per the unofficial tally of the first Brannans auction held by David and Toby Clements, the auction sold 8 domains for a total of $34,000 USD. BalletShoes.com yielded the highest price at $13,250 USD. The sold names were:

    California.com was WAYYYY over priced! 5million dollars. Gimme a break!!LOL!

      I thought California was a fair price but certainly not going to sell to a domainer. Maybe some potential buyer out there now is aware that it is for sale though.

      CA is one of the worlds largest economys and if it wasn’t so bankrupt it might as well be its own country.

      Same time the problem is what a broad untargetted domain. What is the commercial value of the keyword? I don’t think it’s a hole in one guaranteed to generate 5mil on the quick without a solid business plan.

     8 out of 200 domains (with perhaps $5-8k paid above reserve) isn’t much to celebrate

    HU.net was a bargain! :)
    Personally I liked the platform and the result it got considering it’s the maiden auction and the state of the current world economy.
    I’m sure there will be plenty of activity there in future, this is just a small tip of a major selling iceberg!
