TRAFFIC NYC 2009 Moniker/SnapNames Live Auction Results

by Frank Michlick in Categories: Domain Sales - 14 Comments

We will be were live blogging the auction results of the auctions at the Targeted T.R.A.F.F.I.C. event in New York City for Moniker/SnapNames Auction. As always we do not guarantee the accuracy of these results. Unsold names will be included in the Extended Silent Auction, which goes from October 29th to November 4th, 2009.

During the auction DNN.com and DNW.com are combining combined forces to host  a live chat and video broadcast at 3:50 EST today (password is “domains123″).  Andrew Alleman and Adam Strong will be chatting live during the “pre-game” video chat and will be in the chat room throughout the auction. Barring any technical issues, we’re also hoping to be joined by at least one other person, They were joined by Chef Patrick, live from the auction floor. Later on Drewbert and Anthony Peppler joined the chat as well – which had up to 70 participants.

You can see the results after the jump.

Oh f#$#! I thought you guys would be busy with the live chat, so I went ahead and posted my “Moniker’s T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Auction – Live Results” entry about 20 minutes before you posted this. Both of us wasting our time would be pretty stupid, can you handle this list as well as the live chat? If so, I’ll just edit my post and link to this entry. Or if not, I can cover the live auction. What would you prefer?

@Andrei: It’s a tradition for us to do the live blogging, we actually did a test chat already yesterday. I’m going to be blogging either way, but feel free to do it on your end, too :) Thanks for offering.

@Frank: that’s cool, I’ll just update my post and link to DNN. Keeping track of things is pretty time consuming, both of us doing it would be pointless. Major props for taking the time to cover both auctions ;)

Looks like 10 sold out of 50 so far. 20%
Anyone know how many names sold last night? %?

Nothing over $50K.

Wish some big dollar sales would pop up.

Ouch! My quick back of the Excel envelope shows less than $400,000 in sales. Were the reserves just too high? Wrong mix of names? Too late in the conference (people were auctioned out)?

It was fun to chat today. Thanks!

Andrew and Adam did a good job of narrating the auction.
However, the job was overwhelming for Adam and he had to
have his son fill in for part of the auction.

Andrew had to sign off the last hour.

Andrew and Adam gave all of the people who did not attend Traffic
an exclusive look at the new bobblehead of Ron Jackson.
Everyone at Traffic received a bobblehead of Ron Jackson.
Adam also proudly displayed his bobblehead of Rick Schwartz.

It was also nice to see Monte stop in and chat.

attending Traffic.
