		<description>You only auction names if one of a number of criteria are met.. like

1) Its a distressed sale and it needs to be sold - hence no reserve
2) Its a highly sought name and there are more than two bidders
3) There&#039;s a liquid market and there isn&#039;t much difference between an auction outcome and a private sale = only that additional exposure might exist with a properly marketed auction.

As you can see, most domains don&#039;t meet the above criteria unless you need to close out. Big problem with the Auction market though is that it DEPRESSES the private market by lowering buyers price expectations, people are seeing wholesale transfer prices while these domains are being marketed as &quot;Public auctions&quot;.</description>

Possible reasons -

Not enough buyers.
Minor problem with the live auction site.
Maybe, a professional auctioner might have gotten more.
But, not if there are not enough buyers.

Hopefully, something will change with the next Roundtable,
