Manilla Bulletin features Domain Squatter

If you have a copy of the June 16, 2007 (Monday) edition of Manila Bulletin, go over the Technews section on page D5. At the top right corner of the page, you will see a website feature for Parents Preview (

The domain points to a parked page at Hitfarm.

Adams Editorial Opinion :

Interesting that the Manilla Bulletin gave a parking page a favorable review.   The author of the blog post tries to suggest it was a typo by the art department or someone else, so what site were they typoing ? :) looks like a buydomains lander, as does and is owned by some dude in the Caymans . What’s bad about this article is it’s one more author focusing on the fact that the domain is parked and owned by an individual users, therefore it must be a “squatter” who owns this domain.  This is just one more bad example of someone who claims to be “in the domains and web hosting business for years” perpetuating this notion that buying and parking domains is somehow “wrong” .  Owning keyword generic domains IS NOT cybersquatting and there’s not anything wrong going on in this example

Clearly, they meant, but it’s a perfect testament to the lack of background research the news does. In fact, in the daily New York times, there are typically over 200 errors. None that egregious, but errors nonetheless.
