The consolidation in the domain industry continues with purchasing without disclosing the details of the deal. WhyPark is a mass domain development service started by Craig Row brought on Alan Macomber in March of 2006 as an investor and Rod Underhill (co-founder of as an advisor. Stephen Douglas joined the company as the VP of Business Development in June 2008.

The company had just announced that they now allow free sign-up for anyone, which used to be a one time $99 fee for up to 100 domains. With this new offer they also cease to allow new customers to use their own monetization code over the included WhyPark feed. Over the course of this year, they have added many advanced services, some of them available for a subscription fee. The company hosts about 200,000 domain names on their system.

Interesting acquisition :) I think it was very clever to buy WhyPark. will overtake competition that will need time to develop similar program in their offering. I am curious how much they paid :)
