Paypal limits account access for conference attendees
Paypal has limited account access for several attendees of the DomainFest Global conference due to “security concerns” and emailed the account owners with an email entitled “Notification of Limited Account Access”. Most likely several factors contributed to this situation:
- multiple users accessing their Paypal account from a different location than their home location
- access is from a wireless network at a hotel
- payments coming in from parking providers lead to more people checking their accounts
Paypal recommends following a process involving changing passwords. If you are looking to restore your account access quickly, Domain Name News recommends to first follow the requests listed in your paypal account, then contact Paypal support, and inform them that you are attending an industry event and most likely they will be able to lift your account limitations.

Same thing happened to me. I had to call the folks at Paypal to get my account unlocked.
I guess it is better to be safe than sorry!
