New charity to provide hearing aids to those who cannot afford them
Ken Hansen, Senior Direct Business Development and General Manager for .NYC, is a not a newcomer to the domain industry, he’s been working in Telecommunications and with domain names for a long time. Inspired by his own need to wear a hearing aid since his late twenties, he submitted his application for 501C3 status for a new charity by the name “Help Them Hear” today.
On Facebook Ken Hansen writes about the charity:
Help Them Hear will provide hearing aids to those who cannot afford them. As many of you know this is a cause I can relate to personally. Why should a child go through their entire life without sound when a hearing aid would help them hear?
DNN congratulates Ken on his plans and hopes for a speedy approval of the application. We ask our readers to stay tuned, as Ken will be asking for volunteers and donations once the non-profit status is approved and his site is up. Hearing aids can cost thousands of dollars and there are many who cannot afford them. “Incredibly, most health insurance policies do not cover them” Ken told DNN.
