DNN received an unconfirmed report today that Oversee.net had let go of several of it’s key executives, including President and CEO Jeff Kupietzky. It was also believed that because of these changes that the board had taken over.
When questioned about the topic Oversee’s Mason Cole confirmed with us over the phone that four three executives were leaving, but he would provide no further comments about HR matters. Cole informed us that Kupietzky was staying with the company.
We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
UPDATE and CORRECTION : Mason Cole gave DNN notice that he incorrectly stated that 4 executives were leaving. He has since corrected his statement. Only 3 executives had “departed in an executive realignment”. Cole also confirmed our information that the executives departing were veteran Oversee staff members Ryan Berryman, SVP and General Manager, Emerging Businesses, Jack Nelson VP of Human Resources and Peter Celeste, SVP and GM, Monetization Services Division.
CNN has a video about the DomainFest NYC Auction on their CNN money site. The video features Ovesee.net CEO Jeff Kupietzky, Domain Broker David Parkinson and Domain Investor Kevin Wood and shows the final moment of the sale of NewYorkApartments.com and another domain.

After Oversee.net’s CEO and president Jeff Kupietzky toured Europe earlier this year, the company is now planning to open up a European office. DomainSponsor, the company’s domain parking brand had also held an “elite retreat” for their European publishers earlier this year.
The European division will be operated by Joerg Schnermann as the General Manager. He is the brother of Markus Schnermann of DomainInvest and Keyworddomains. Joe Higgins, account manager at Oversee and Jessica Besseling, who returned to the company after working as Business Development Director at DDC, also will be joining Schnermann. Jessica and Joe have both extensively worked with the European domain space.
“The European market is considered to be the fastest growing sector in the global domain space,” said Peter Celeste, Oversee.net Senior Vice President and General Manager of Domain Services. “This is a significant milestone for DomainSponsor. We’re delighted to welcome such a talented core team of seasoned domain industry experts. They understand local needs and will help build on existing relationships and establish new ones within the European community.”
Tony Hsieh, the CEO of Zappos.com will be the keynote speaker at the fourth annual DOMAINfest Global event, scheduled for January 26-28, 2010 in Santa Monica, California.

Within the decade, Zappos grew to a $1 Billion-per-year online retailer and was recently sold to Amazon.com for more than $850 million.
“We’re delighted to have Tony Hsieh join us as a keynote speaker at our 2010 event,” said Oversee CEO and President Jeff Kupietzky. “His fresh thinking, insights related to online consumer behaviors and needs, and intelligent risk-taking have set new standards for how to succeed in e-commerce. DOMAINfest has always been a breeding ground for new ideas on how to get the most out of a domain name investment, so Tony’s fireside chat will provide our guests with plenty of innovative ideas and inspiration.”

SnapNames and Moniker, a leading domain registrar, have joined together to allow sellers to list domains for sale on SnapNames.com directly from their Moniker accounts.
The listing service will provide domain sellers with an increased reach into the industry’s largest pool of qualified buyers, where over 15,000 sales occur each month. In turn, the buyers will benefit from receiving a larger selection of quality domains at any price point.
“After listening intently to buyer and seller marketplace requirements, we are offering this new functionality to our community of users,” said Oversee.net President Jeff Kupietzky. “As people continue to develop Internet identities and expand their demand of domain names, it’s absolutely essential to offer a comprehensive selection of quality domains. By allowing users to list from their Moniker accounts, we can quickly increase the availability of quality domains that may otherwise not be available.”
The new service provides two different listing formats (auction or fixed price), automatically transfers the domain from the seller to the buyer on the day of the transaction, and sends the proceeds from the sale to the seller within seven days (in most cases).
The companies, which are both run by Oversee.net, made the announcement at DOMAINfest Global, the industry’s leading conference and trade show.
