EuroDNS has recently completed the purchase of the domain whois.de. The site, which is to be officially launched on Monday, September 1st in partnership with Sedo, displays a shopping cart/whois query of EuroDNS. While the price has not been disclosed, it is rumored to have been in the six figure range (in Euros).

The domain name was originally owned by Sedo and now also feartures Sedo listed domains for sale in it’s lookup results.
