Godaddy Takes The Christian Path Drops Ads Announces New Strategy
Please note that the following is a parody intended for April Fools day 2009.
Godaddy CEO Bob Parsons has finally caved in to the battle over the company’s controversial advertising campaigns. Company President Bob Parsons has been meeting with Christian church leaders over the past few weeks and announced today that the company is renaming itself God Addy.
“We’ve seen the light and we’re taking a more spiritual approach to our marketing now” states Godaddy‘s Public Relations Department. With domain names often referred to as internet addresses, and Addy being short for address, this name change makes for an easy transition for the previously racy company. “We have parntered with the biggest churches in the world and now are proud to announce we have their support.”
The company also announced the release of their new ad campaign featuring the God Addy Choir Boys and the God Addy Gospel Girls. The new campaign and ads can be downloaded from the company website later this week.

There weren’t that many April Fools reports, but this had to have been one of the lamest. Good try though.
