Sedo Loses Chief Strategy Officer
After working with Sedo for over six years in various senior roles, Matt Bentley, Sedo’s Chief Strategy Officer, will be leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.
“It has been an incredibly rewarding experience to participate in Sedo’s worldwide growth and witness the company’s emergence as a dominant player in the market,” said Bentley. “I’m definitely going to miss working with the many great people there, but the time was right for me to find a new challenge. Sedo is a strong organization, and I expect to see the company continue to thrive at the forefront of the domain industry.”
Bentley was one of the company’s first dozen employees and has been with Sedo since 2002. He started as the Director of International Operations, helping to expand Sedo’s global reach outside of Germany by launching their U.S. subsidiary company Sedo.com, LLC in 2004. He later served as CEO of Sedo.com for two years before moving back to Germany to serve as the Chief Strategy Officer.
Bentley will transition out of his role effective August 1, 2008, but will remain close to the company as an outside Strategic Advisor.

Awwww so so sad . . . I had been hoping he would be fired in disgrace rather than quitting, but at least he’s not part of sedo at the end of the day.

There’s a great job waiting for him at any State’s Department of Motor Vehicles. He can use his experience with Sedo customer service reps as a foundation for maintaining the courteous and expedient services that every DMV is known for.
