Software.com sells for undisclosed amount
As per a post on Facebook today, Mike Mann and Internet Realestate Group have sold Software.com for an undiclosed price to an unnamed buyer. We will update you as more details become available.
The domain names phone.com and software.com were purchased by Mike Mann‘s WashingtonVC and Internet Real Estate Group in 2005 from OpenWave Systems, which was originally created in a merger of the two sites in 2000. The domain names were then developed into separate brands and companies.

I highly doubt it. I heard a rumor from someone who was bidding on it that it went for around $4m
